Jimmy long gone. The closest you might get to him being on campus is his tomb stone being placed there 😇

Wonder why none of our former players aren't finding schools (besides Sanders).  Wonder if they realized there weren't many chairs left when they entered portal.  Wonder if anyone is educating them on the fact there are hundreds of guys in portal and very few FBS positions available.  Some of these guys will be luck to get FCS or D2 offers.  Some may be out of football altogether, because they entered portal.  The portal has not been a boon to average or poor athletes, and some of these guys are finding that out.

I get the sense most didn't choose to leave.

So 3 years of good behavior and not getting in trouble can be erased by 1 emotional outbreak? He was like in our top 3 defensive players on the team and has talent. Buddy will be ok.

respectfully disagree.  Fighter, but not even top 3 in the secondary.  D2.

I respectfully give you facts:

1. He has the 3RD MOST TACKLES on this team in 2020

2. He had the 5th MOST TACKLES and 2ND MOST interceptions on this team in 2019

3. He had the 4th MOST TACKLES and MOST Interceptions on this team in 2018 as a TRUE Freshman...it's safe to say he has put in some work.

Is he a 1st round NFL draft pick? NO, but he is a man that has a lot of playing time and a body of work that many of these other portal transfers don't have. This man will find another D1 team, maybe our old coach Levitt snatches him up at FAU.

He’s definitely going to find his way to a lower level D1 program. He’ll be racking up those stats for Troy State next year.

You forgot that we are a G6 team so can't really act like we are better than the others. Troy has actually had way more success these last 5 years than we did and even was ranked a few times.

It’s a one way move for almost all programs. I have not heard of any team taking a player back...and rightly so.

Actually 8% of players remove their name on average and stay with their team.

please provide the source and link to the source for this statistic. Not questioning it is valid but just want to make sure it is accurate and provable. Some folks around here like to just throw out percentages as wild arse guesses too often. At 8% -- that seems awfully specific not to be easy to show where the number came from.
