So if Mike Houston and staff switched places with Jeff Scott and staff just prior to kickoff on Saturday night and Houston coached USF and Scott coached ECU, USF would have won the game?  If you believe that, lay off of the crack pipe.

It’s as reasonable as the fairytale that in the past year there has been a 45 point swing in talent between the two teams

Although I am not thrilled with some of the playcalling (I don't think the offensive coaches have done enough to put the QB in situations to overcome what opposing defenses have been doing),

This

Prior to ECU, Weis did little play calling wise to help-out the QBs

The ECU game featured more screens, quick slants and crossing patterns, which is part of the reason McCloud was able to complete 75% of his passes

i hope that trend continues

So they adjusted the scheme to their players? At least they didn’t force the scheme they wanted for an entire season.

All we need is a manageable offense and a shore up that defense and may win a few.

When you lose to ECU .... it’s a coaching problem. When Mccloud is in the conversation... it’s a coaching problem.

However, maybe the school does not have the money to compete at this level.

So now the argument has shifted from the school can win consistently with #Baymade to the program is now devoid of talent?

Tag got lucky with flowers and a few others.... after the first string there it was all downhill. CCS was stubborn and should have been fired. However, getting blown out by ECU is an eye opener on the new coach.

It was a bit shocking and disappointing.

But its Game 4 for this Coach who had really no time to recruit.  He is devoid of talent- not his doing.  Its a covid year so practice was dirupted.

You and others may be ready to write this Coach off already.  But Im not.

And dropping levels.  Please just stop it already!

Guy obviously deserves more time.  This roster is not talented.  We should be at the bottom of this conference.

We likely wont win another game if we do then we are doing better than expected with this roster.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
