Eh, maybe he comes here from time to time.

Every poster cannot rise to my level but we shouldn't hold it against them, I am sure they are trying.

did he say this was his dream job? can't he feel that he made a mistake and admit it?

I'm sure he has learned a lot about big time football programs and their unrealistic expectations.

Maybe he see the fact that we paid Strong as much as FSU paid him this year and we are a far more pleasant program to work for.

Maybe if we had actually ponied up the money in the first place he would never have left.

Maybe

I agree, I just think he is very sales personish and it rubs me the wrong way (unless he is the guy and wins). Just sell your abilities and not your love for the place because that doesn't seem to hold up to any reasonable scrutiny.

If he makes some kind of credible financial investment in our program that juicy FSU buyout, would that change your mind?

I'd settle for STFU building recruiting, winning games and not having his fanboys sell his mediocre record as the 2nd coming of CJL. Maybe if he changed his name to Jim and wore a visor it could be that little extra that takes his ordinary resume to extraordinary.

now we would see what he would do when he was in for the long haul, the answer was get fired. I’m not completely opposed to the idea

You think FSU was the long haul?  He didn't even make it two years there!  That's not on him, that's on FSU.  As I said, he has a template.  FSU is the only school he's been at that didn't have the patience or the guts to see it through.

And you're not completely opposed to the idea?  Now who's blowing smoke up whose ass????

So just to be clear, if he were to make a financial commitment to the future of our program, that wouldn't sway your opinion one bit?

I specifically stated that it didn’t have to be that grand, so yes of course that would be a nice gesture but ultimately I would rather just have the next coach winning so much that we are swimming in ticket money and donations.

No I felt he was graded at incomplete to that juncture and that stint certainly wasn’t enough to move the needle to good (at best he can still be hoping for an incomplete grade which is kind of odd a decade into the position). I am not completely opposed to the idea like I am the KB idea I’m just not as sold as some on the board. I am not trying to tug at heart strings for a job so I have no reason to blow smoke.
