Yeah best case?? hope you never need one. folks recover in a lot of different ways some slower due to associated problems or..?  I was always active into my late 50's and a runner now a walker(not walking dead type. as yet) so surgeon put in an extra screw for additional joint support I swear I feel that at times but that pain just needs to take a number in line with the other aches and pains..ha! You get in so much pain that you are ready to jump on the surgical table and say..do it!  Just one of those life things we all get or go through at some point.

Yeah but my wife prohibits picking them up too so now I have an excuse to tell them..My wife wont let me...

I've had both done. One total, one resurfaced. Hips are much easier than knees. Not fun but not the worse thing in the world. Good luck to him if this is true.

My hip for a little bit, but you know what I did?

I'd limp to the side like my leg was broken, shakin' and twitchin' kinda like I was smokin', crazy wack funky, people said I looked like M.C. Hammer on crack.
