Look at how much trouble Lamar Jackson gets regarding his passing game, and Q is no Lamar. His passing stats are comparable to Lamar's, while having lower rushing stats. He needs real game opportunities to display his run game elusiveness AT QB, while having the opportunity to develop his passing. He just is not going to get that shot bouncing around NFL practice squads, especially when teams try and fit him at RB. His elusiveness was so exceptional because he was at QB.

You look at the stats, and Q's honestly aren't all that different from Lamar's, but Lamar got the benefit of the doubt thanks to P5 and Heisman.

And height. Jackson is quite a bit taller.

I would love to see Q get a shot at QB, I actually think Baltimore should consider him as Jackson's backup. That way if Lamar goes down, their entire offense doesn't have to change.

Also, given the opportunity, Jackson has become a very good passer as well. It's possible Q could develop the same way.

We said the same thing about BJ at Seattle behind Wilson, and it almost looked like that was going to work out for him. In the end, they always seem to default to wanting a "pure" QB, and if the guy has wheels all the better. That's why I think Brady will be 55 and still dropping back for NE.

He is starting to lose a little bit of zip on his passes....but the way he takes care of himself and his body, and as much of a fighter as he is, it wouldn't surprise if he plays well into his 40's.

Flowers is fast enough and shifty enough to get on the field somewhere.  Can they spot him as RB or WR or kick returner?

In addition to his QB ability QF has some Mack and Johnson attributes. Johnson got his shot based upon his being able to show his abilities one more time in the defunct league. Quinton may have been able to do the same but he was hooked up with the Bengals. I think he has the talent to be a great do anything utility player for an NFL team. Hopefully the Buc's will see this along with the home town angle and give him a shot. Hope he has somebody in his corner locally giving this a push. The Buc's HC seems to be creative and cut from a diff mold maybe, hopefully.

I was "happy" when the Bucs went Gay.

Going “Gay” alienated a lot of their fans.

I really wish Q would give CFL or XFL a shot. NFL just isn't going to give him a real shot at QB the way he is now. Use CFL or XFL to develop throwing, while showing off run game, then work up from there.

QF would be great in the CFL.

Flowers was a square peg in a round hole at Quarterback, USF spent years trying to develop him.  Imagine, we could have had Mike White, QF and Marlon Mack in the back field.
