The offense needs a lot more reps to get this down. Barnett especially.

So only way this offense works with Blake is we hope nobody can get pressure on him and the receivers start catching the dang ball when it hits them in the hands.

And 3, he makes the correct read. Which is was not the case very often on Friday night

The most infuriating thing is Barnett not making the right pre-snap read.  Under fire, with a heavy pass rush, I can forgive not seeing the open guys some times.

I think these were fair breakdowns which shows the potential of the offense. The concepts are there unlike last year. Blake put in a lot of work this off season working on his mechanics. I’m not sure how much of that will help with the mental part of the game.

My issue with him is that he seems to be late on a lot of his reads/throws. Hopefully when they watch film this week he can correct that.

The hitch in his throwing motion creates timing issues.

I wonder how much of that hitch is because of his uncertainty

I will rewatch the game again today but from the stands it looked like he locked on to one receiver every time. It’s like he doesn’t even go through progressions. Then if option one doesn’t work out he has lost the other reads. It’s a problem he hasn’t seemed to fix in four years of college

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
