BTW, if we win do we buy our own trophy?

Like if you bought your team rings after an NIT championship?

💯 Especially thankful I get to watch the best ever USF men's basketball team play a few more games to (hopefully) set the new record for most wins in a season. I mean, USF hoops in April! Go Bulls! 🏀🤘

Not the best ever.....

This tournament is no different than the low tier bowl games we have played in over the course of our football history.  The value isn't in a crappy trophy or the "prestige" of winning said game/tourny it's in getting the extra practices for you team (especially the young guys) and the extra live game action.   If you're against this team being the CBI please make sure you stop by and tell the rest of us how you don't want us to go to a lower tier bowl too because it's the same thing....

I could only image if the tables were turned and our hated enemies 90 miles to the east were where are now the lashings they would be taking from some on this board over being all excited over the CBI trophy.

That is all circumstantial. We were predicted to come in last place in the AAC. I don't believe many people, if any at all, predicted this team to be in position to win 19 regular season games. This program is ahead of schedule and playing these extra games is going to help going forward into next season. The foundation Coach Gregory laid began late last season and the build on top of the foundation laid more bricks than anticipated this season.

I believe it was New England Bull who posted about how the WNIT field is 64 teams, so 128 teams are either in the NCAA Tournament, or the WNIT. The Men's side has 100 teams in either the NCAA Tournament, or the NIT. I liked his idea of the NIT expanding to 64 teams and then this wouldn't be an issue. I distinctly remember when the NIT expanded the field to 48 teams and USF was one of the extra 16 teams selected and no one had an issue about that. Having us be one of an extra 16 teams playing now is really no different.

Not to mention, there are 347 teams in college basketball. So about 1/3 make the postseason in some way, as opposed to over 1/2 of college football.

@Bausfkid is DeVos of USF athletics. Until your sport can turn a profit, it's on the chopping block.

Thanks everyone for setting me straight.  Let’s win the CBI and host a parade on Holly Drive.  I’m all in now.

Go Bulls!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
