If the last two or three games are on ESPNU - there has to be SOME money for the teams playing I would hope. If the CBI sucks up all that cash too-- I really gotta wonder why this cash grab tournament exists -- cuz these guys are some greedy mofos.

 

PS_- we are the last team still playing from the state of Florida now that FSU is going down to Gonzaga.

not sure what you are trying to say --- maybe you should ask Kelly directly on his twitter feed what the bottom line impact financially this tournament has been to date (along with any potential unseen revenues).

JK had a pretty story on the cost.  I'm going to start a hoops tourney.  You'll be shocked at what this has/will cost us.

his story told PART of the costs-- it ignored any possible revenues.

Perhaps. But perhaps some may look at it as an investment in the program. You gotta start somewhere and this basketball program was at rock bottom. If this equates to more butts in seats for the next couple of years, and a better product (the two are correlated) then it has a strong possibility of being financially viable.

I would not be in favor of this tourney anytime except this year. To think this was not a good investment for a bunch of freshman and sophomores is silly.
