I'm pretty sure any offense that averages 38 pts/game would be acceptable to most head coaches. You CCS haters need to just focus on 2018, which should give you all the ammo you need to blast him with, and stop trying to lump 2017 in there. 2017 USF football was not wasted on "that POS Gilbert".

We will agree to disagree about 2017.

Pretty sure any college offensive scheme would have put up the numbers they did in 2017 with Quentin Flowers and company. That team was stacked. No reason we shouldn't have the team from Florida that went undefeated. The difference between 2017 and the last 7 games of 2018 was that there was no QF, MVS, Tice, Johnson, or a seasoned offensive line.

THIS!  That POS Gilbert stubbornly changed the offense around in 2017 and wasted Flowers senior season.  So yes, two years of USF football have been wasted on both Gilbert and Strong!

Yes last 7 games were pathetic, and these tweets/comments about the new offense are very encouraging.  But I will save my judgement until the regular season.  We have a habit of trashing the old guy and worshipping the new guy around here.  I feel good about the change, though.  I hope it leads to more wins.

What is scary to me is that this kind of offense was deemed acceptable by Charlie.  Charlie knew what Sterlin brought to the table from their days in Austin. Two years of USF football was wasted on that POS Gilbert.   Charlie better stay far far away from Kerwin this season.

You just admitted that CCS allowed Gilbert the FREEDOM 2 run a bad offense....so why wouldnt he give KB the FREEDOM 2 do what he wants?

Because KB is not his buddy from Austin

Because his job is much more on the line now than when Gilbert was here.

But they have never worked together.  Lots of coaches know each other and are acquainted with each other, its part of the business.
