Don’t want the classes to get too uneven or lopsided.

Mesabi Range C.C. DE Sam Okuayinonu is visiting us this weekend. If we are able to pull it off and land him in addition to Tyrik Jones (already a commit) then we will be the closest we've have been in a while to having a JPP and Selvie type combo on our team. Both at solid 265/270 Ibs DE that from the film I've watched has speed.

Look at how few visits we have lined up and the amount of of players we are aggressively recruiting. Signing day is right around the corner..... CCS will bank schollys for next cycle to keep the classes from becoming unbalanced Edited January 19, 2019 by Bull Dozer

UF ended up undersigned for what seemed like forever. This will be the first year in a long time that UF has the full 85 scholarships used. UF ended up undersigned for what seemed like forever. This will be the first year in a long time that UF has the full 85 scholarships used. The new rules have only been in place for 3 years... prior you could actually use unused scholarships from the class before towards the next season. If UF took a long time to fill up their 85 they didn't want to over sign, it had nothing to do with the new rule. They replaced the old one in 2017 limiting schools to signing 25 players per year, ending the practice of oversigning. The limit is on 25 “initial counters,” which you can think of as players in their first year on an athletic scholarship. But a team can bring in more than 25 enrollees in a given year, in a few circumstances. Most commonly, if an athlete graduates high school early and enrolls for the spring semester, and if the school stayed under a cap of 25 in the previous year, it can assign enrollees to the previous class, up to the 25-man total cap.

UF had self imposed guidelines to make sure they avoided over-signing. My point was just that undersigning can hurt you and serves little or no purpose.
