You mean the same S&C program Brett Kean was in? Get a #7 USF Jersey and a helmet on Bell, and you'd never know the difference...

Those of us who watched the games know that it was magic of QF and not SC's system that got him those records.

Q was used in a different way than the previous regime but it still got those records, over 500 yards/38 points per game and a 10-2 record. SG was far from perfect but the lengths some go to diminish everything that happened here under him is farcical ....

People compare it to the offense Taggart ran the year before which is why people didn't think much of it. If you look at his offense without the comparison then you should certainly think it was a good one just not as good. I'm glad the veer and shoot is gone. It is based on a power run (between the tackles) and deep sideline routes. Neither of which uses space very well. We have never been a good power run team. We can't seem to get a dominant o-line. I think speed to the outside is to our benefit with a zone blocking scheme with the type of athletes we can get. I also like misdirection and for our receivers to use the entire field.

It wasn't as sexy as the Gulf Coast but the results were really close, especially in the most important area, points scored. Only scored 4 less per game .... which wasn't bad considering what was lost with MM ... but I do agree with the red zone play calling criticism. Probably could have actually averaged more per game than 2016 with more creativity there.
