Blake is a good QB with a crappy offensive line and a terrible playbook with an idiot calling the same bad plays.

Succinct and spot on. He just needs time to make reads, which he never has.

Barnett is the best option we have at qb. We’ve seen what kean and Chris can do which is basically nothing. They both are very inaccurate and not very mobile. Not sure about battles as I have not seen him play.

He should be running other than a break down in pass by plays

Did you mean "not" be running?

I like Blake on and off the field.   I also think he showed himself to be the best option at QB this year, though he is far from developed yet.

He is 23 in a month playing against 18-year-old kids. I get he had only started like 3 games before this season, but if he wasn't going to exploit his physical talents this year what makes us think next year is different?

Hope I am wrong but his inability to find the second receiver, and massive regression from day 1, was sad. He really started under-throwing receivers late in the season. MAYBE it was a confidence issue because our O-line was garbage,  maybe it was nagging injuries that were more serious than they seemed, or maybe there is a reason why a talented coach like Saban cut him lose. Obviously, USF does not have the stable like Al-uh-bama does, but I would expect a fierce battle this summer, and a short lease (especially of Strong is gone).

where would he really go? He is out of transfer options (short of FCS yada yada). He is definitely NOT ready for the NFL. So other than just quitting completely, I don't see him leaving USF.

I would like to see him in a different offense or at least one that has a playbook larger than a Post It note. He is probably our best option when healthy and is one of the main reasons we did win those early games.

I am not certain he doesn't have other issues -- the kind that led to leaving Bama and ASU. I want to think that stuff is over. Anyone thinking he gets drafted (including himself) this next year - I cannot understand that line of thinking other than basing it on prototypical physical attributes (tall, decent arm).

Definitely NOT ready is what you mean. I know you did. Because he isn't. Even if he were he wasn't allowed to show it.
