Stupid Question about a Common Post

So I’m around a lot but I must have missed it. So rather than live in stupidity, I’m finally going to ask - can someone please explain why before every game there is a post that says:

(insert team name) is going to destroy us. 

That answer and a conference title and my life will be complete. Thanks.

Some guy named ____ eats it used to say it all the time. I assume he said it one time when he expected we would lose but then we had a flare for drama and would win when we were supposed to lose so we probably won the game. Then like most fans he was probably superstitious so he started saying it for every game. Now it’s kind of everywhere on the board since it’s been around forever.

I think the first traces of the “___ will destroy us” came from a member of the lotsofbullus99us genus.

I think at this point, its superstition 4 me. I always look out 4 somebody 2 say it.

I reacted to it once... but after seeing it time after time, I pretty much figured out that was his go to for luck.

this is also my recollection of it-- though perhaps it might have been ___EatsIt being copied.

By far the most consistent one to do it imo is @lotsofbull99

You guys are probably right I tend not to be the best with details that are not directly related to things I care about, namely me.
