Two weeks in a row the Times are not covering our game with one of their reporters.

It's a dying industry. Can't blame them for cutting costs.

One thing that should be clarified. This was a budget decision. The stringer getting paid to cover the USF game represents the most resources the Times is spending on a college football game this weekend.

This isn't an issue of respect, but simply one of fiscal responsibility.

If the Times gives USF more resources than the other schools, I can not fault their decision.

That is why I don't subscribe to the paper.  I guess planning ahead and getting a cheap hotel and flight was not worth it.

Mike, I just don't get that.  I'm thinking they could have sent JK for about $700 total (air, hotel and a couple meals)?? What am I missing?  I can't believe the largest newspaper in the number 13 media market in the country wouldn't spend less than a grand to cover the local school who is #23 nationally.

Bought 1 year of the Sunday paper a few months ago....it was like $40.  Wife wanted to.

Haven't opened one yet.  Waste.

Not because I hate the paper.  Because it's PAPER.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
