I focused on him quite a bit. Never saw him fight off a block. He seemed to content just to occupy one of their blockers or something. Also, just wasn't quite fast enough to make a play on any of their backs. When he was in good position, they were just too quick for him to tackle.

Isn't that a responsibility at times?

No, he wasn't. The ball was fumbled forward and, after jumping over the center diving at his knees, he was positioning for the runner in case he cut back inside.

We must have been watching two different games.  The ball was fumbled forward at least 5 yards and 54 fell on the ball.  He was no where near the play, but coming across the field.

He also had a really poor non tackle down the sideline where he had a great angle and failed to make the tackle.

Film review may be tough for him this week.

Go Bulls!

I can still see that GT RB hitting the sidelines and Nico tries to tackle him high...The RB just shrugs him off and keeps on running.

We're both describing the same play. I just see it the same way 84 did, which was also the way Nico described it in the post game interview:

He was in the proper place on the fumble recovery. His assignment was to play for the cut back.

Sure

These were just observations. He's the best man for the job in the coaches' view obviously.

He still hurts us... A Lot!!!

I wish Charlie could have upgraded with a grad transfer.

Had a fairly solid game yesterday from what I could tell.
