When adversity hits, and it will, who will be the leaders that the others look to?

Last years team was loaded with leaders.  On offense, Q, Ruff, DJ, and Tice filled that role and on defense, there was Augie, Senat and Hector among others.

On this team, I’m not sure who the leaders will end up being.  During Fall camp, it seems CCS was looking for guys to emerge.  Maybe Norman and Wilcox on offense and Hoggins and Reaves on defense.

Thoughts?

Beacuse of the situation, I'd say whoever the starting quarterback is beyond game 1 needs to quickly become a leader and rally the troops.

GO BULLS!

Kahild McGee on defense. He's the man in the middle of it all and leadership is required of him.

Would agree.  I hope he’s up to it.

On offense, youd have to say Barnett, right? A 22 year old man with a newborn baby and a PRO surfer wife. I think he possesses leadership qualities.

The coaches wouldn't put guys in leadership positions if they couldn't handle it.

I'd also be looking to Sr. CB Mazzi Wilkins and Jr. Greg Reaves....we'll see.  Reaves has definitely demonstrated determination and hard work.

On offense, you almost always have to look at the QB.  Hopefully Barnett has that in the Bank.  I imagine Cronkrite is going to have a strong personality along with something to prove on the field.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
