Ole Miss Transfer TE?!?!?!

So it looks like former Ole Miss And 4 star TE Jacob Mathis is now on the roster (caught a TD in practice today).   Would be a HUGE deal if he was eligible immediately like the WR's that transferred to UF.  This really flew under the radar.

If ucf got Tre Nixon to have immediate eligibility then no reason why Mathis won't as well. A talented weapon is never a bad thing to have.

Mathis won’t be able to play immediately at his next school, as he’s not a senior, so he’ll be eligible to take the field in 2019 at the earliest if he ends up at another FBS program.

He is from the Tampa area we need to get back to being the kings of the hardship waivers, it seemed like every season we used to somehow convince the NCAA everyone had no choice but to transfer here and play immediately.

Tre Nixon is a RS Sophmore and is eligible. Obviously if Mathis didn't file a waiver request or if there was a deadline then he could've missed his chance. However, if he followed a similar course then he should be able to play this year.
