We haven't had many head coaches, of course. Without going into all the politics and whatnot...

Who would you want as your game-day coach?

Who would you want as your recruiter & player development?

Who would you want as your program builder?

Does anyone think an OCS would be a good idea?

Game day coach: Toss up between Taggs and Leavitt. Strong okay.  Skippy no freaking way

Recruiter: Taggart and too soon to tell about Strong. Leavitt okay.  Skippy no freaking way.

Program Builder: Again I think Leavitt, Taggs, and Strong are all good at this.  Skippy no freaking way. Is there another question for program destroyer then Skippy wins.

Who would you want as your recruiter & player development?

Who would you want as your program builder?

1 - Who would you want as your game-day coach?  Actually not impressed by any of them, but I'll go with CWT.

2 - Who would you want as your recruiter & player development? CCS

3 - Who would you want as your program builder? Not even close - CJL

Went with CWT on #1 ONLY because he let Q be Q. Went with CCS on #2 more from the past than the present, so the jury is still out on him.

One thing I'll say is that Skippy was probably the nicest coach we had, very likable. That's good for press conferences and so on, but not to run the program.

Getting the players fired up, that's Leavitt for sure. But I don't know about the game plan. We lost some big games because his offensive game strategy wasn't so great, I feel. Defense won, but offensively -eh... Program builder, he was the man. He waited for the cement posts to dry...

Ca$h, I'm still not sure about him. Yes, he's a great recruiter for sure. He spotted Mack and said Mack was the steal of the class and he was right. Q, I think Q developed himself... As for being an offensive guru, I don't know yet. Let him prove me wrong at FSU.

Coach Strong, I've no clue about him. I've no feelings and not enough data on how I feel about him.

If we could find a coach that the best elements of each...

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
