Should make for some interesting off-season discussions ...

TAMPA, MAY 24, 2018 – Following the completion of the 2017-18 season of home USF Athletics, the department saw average student attendance rise year-over-year across all eight ticketed sports during the course of the season.

25980USF football saw average student attendance increase by nearly 1,000 students per game in 2017 as the Bulls' six home games drew an average of 5,313 students per game, an increase of 21.2 percent over the 2016 season average. USF partnered with mobile commerce company Experience to provide a new mobile student ticketing platform for football games. The mobile platform greatly reduced the number of steps students needed to secure tickets from nine to three, provided text message reminders and allowed students to scan into games using their mobile devices .

"It is great to see USF students coming out to enjoy Bulls athletic events and cheer on their fellow students who are competing and winning in green and gold," USF Director of Athletics Mark Harlan said. "Our Athletics marketing team continues to do great work in reaching our student population and our events staff provides a fun and inviting atmosphere in which to witness exciting performances and share in the success of our student-athletes."

The recently completed baseball and softball home schedules saw average student attendance increase by 29.6 percent and 11.6 percent, respectively. The Bulls' baseball team posted a 24-9 home record and was ranked in the top 25. The softball team went 24-10 at home, claimed a conference regular season title and punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament.

The surrounding Tampa area is 3M and we can't get 20K.  Terrible.

Ok, subtract the 5K in students from 30K and I missed by 5K.  We can't get 25K out of 3M in the surrounding area.

This should be Harlan's #1 priority.  Terrible with lots of blame to go around.

The bet of the year is will the OCS Feasibility Study have more words than we have football attendance?

Harlan's #1 priority is and should be raising $$$.  The students and alumni should drive attendance not the metropolitan area in general.  I think that 30K+ puts us in the upper half/maybe third of the AAC

I'm terminating a person on my team today for a variety of reasons.  One of the big issues is his "average thinking mentality".

Upper half of the AAC.  Well, we've arrived!  Today the entire USFAA should sit back and enjoy the view.

Our two biggest donors did not attend USF.

Priority 1 is community engagement of a 3M person demo and why we can't get .001% of those entertainment dollars on 6 Saturdays a year.

Tampa is an awful fan base and has been since its inception.  Got to figure it out.
