Slow Coast is not the solution.

This guy (and everybody else) is severely underestimating what Anthony Miller meant to Memphis.  He would just take over games for them when the rest of the offense bogged down.   I think they see a big drop off offensively between that and losing their starting QB.  Also, their defense was nothing to write home about.

I don’t really care about Memphis, I am more concerned about temple and  ucf. We have to beat those two teams this year.

UCF must go down, and they must go down hard!

Yeah Memphis isn't even on our schedule next year, so couldn't care less if they are a threat or not. Our three toughest conference games are UCF, at Temple (we haven't won on their turf yet) and at Houston. I expect to lose at Houston, but I'm more focused on us beating our two divisional foes. Can't have a repeat of the Temple loss in'16 where we dominate the conference but lose the one game we need to win, thus losing the tie-breaker.

Sounds about right.  We have two unproven QB's.  Neither have shown anything yet to make me think they will be more than game-managers.  UCF will go one of two ways.  The coach will keep the offense like his predecessor and keep rolling or he'll implement his own and they'll take a step back.  I'm hoping he thinks he's smarter than Frost and changes the offense completely.

Yeah that CJL was something else. The way he lead the team to those end of season wins against Uconn and beating those fully loaded Louisville teams in mid season. I am surprised we did not win many more BE titles than we did...

He sort of set the mold for winning the games that don't matter and losing when it counts didn't he?

Great splashy wins against big named ranked teams but didn't bring the hardware home.

We suck until we don't.

T2 seems appropriate until we show we aren't.

Really ?  Winning the games that didn't matter ?  How little you know about CJL and the history of Usf football.  All I will say is if you weren't at the West Virgina game then you don't know the thrill.

The thrill of Auburn and WVU was overshadowed by the agony of Butgers.

If Frost's offense was simple enough for anyone to walk in and replicate, Nebraska wouldn't have just dropped $35 million on him. Ditto for the  GCO and xCWT. UCF is going to take a step back on offense because it's going to be impossible not to. Heupel can declare he's not going to change a thing, he can believe he's not going to change a thing, he can attempt to not change a thing, but he's still the same guy who once got fired from his OC job. He has his own ideas, his own philosophies, his own knowledge of how an offense works, and that stuff can't just be unlearned. An offense isn't just plug and play with the coordinator.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
