Nice win. I like the 18 assists and outrebounding SMU.

The fact this team didn’t quit and kept fighting is something we can build on. The non quit attitude will go a long way next year.

Let’s hope that MBB can achieve a recovery similar to USF football.

If the seeds currently hold, we will get Memphis in the first round and then Tulsa in the second. We played Tulsa relatively close twice this season (L by 9 and 12). I could actually see this team making it to the semifinal of the AAC Tournament. I could also see us getting beat by 20 against Memphis, but I think a W against them is more likely at this point.

Of all the teams not getting a bye, Memphis was the last one I wanted to face ....

I think we will play well against them again, but we will see. They are thrashing ECU right now, so I am sure Tubby woke them up after they got run out of their own building by the Bulls.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."

    Jim Leavitt
