I hope they dont give up on Mack yet, but the reality is a lot of the problems he had at USF showed up on film in the NFL. Couldn't be a consistent runner between the tackles and had a bit of the fumbleitits. RB is a need because Gore is leaving and they need to add depth and competition to the backfield. Mack was very good this season but I don't think it was good enough to just award him the starting job. Also, in today's NFL most teams use multiple backs.
