For the last 4 years, the AAC has consistently sent its teams with the best overall records to bowl games against P5 or Independent opponents.  The only exception would be in 2015 when Temple at (10-3) played Toledo in Boca Raton.  But that year Toledo (10-2) was a worthy opponent and actually beat Temple in that game.

Navy (6-5) is not a shoe-in just because the Military bowl is held at their home stadium.

Not sure why thread title is so definitive.  If Memphis wins tomorrow but loses the AACCG, they could just as easily get the invite to Annapolis.

Has to be speculation ... a bit wild, I might add, at this point.  Nothing has been decided at this point.

Military bowl is paired with an ACC team, maybe UVA this year.  Nice town, will make for a great trip.  As someone else said Memphis/UCF loser will play against the other bowl tied-in with the P5 (Birmingham), since we played there last year.

Memphis will go to Birmingham if they don't win the AAC.  Its closer to Memphis, and we went to that bowl last year.

I’ve been saying Military for some time now. AAC has done terrible in the bowls the past few years I suspect the comish tries to set up games where the AAC team has the best chance. Memphis could go there but only if they are competitive with ucf (which they were not a few months ago).
