Your lack of football accumen never ceases to amaze me.  FAU is very solid and while they're not a brand name, but they would be a quality opponent this year.  Third best team in FL this year.

4th best? I got Miami UCF and USF ahead.

Just a quick question for those entertaining the idea of going to the bowl game.  If it turns out to be the Military Bowl in Annapolis, MD, how many would actually go to the game?  Opponent is not FSU.  Just wanting to get a head count on who would travel up there to see USF play Virginia lets say.   

I think my group is IN for 5 people

As I will be in MD already during the time of the bowl I will definitely be attending should it be the Military Bowl.

For those thinking of driving, it's about 940 miles.

We drove to Birmingham last year which was about 640 miles.

I don't know what percentage of USF fans drove there.

I know that Annapolis is too far to drive for us, regardless of the opponent.

So, we would have to fly if we wanted to attend the Military Bowl.

That is something we will have to consider, if that ends up as our destination and also depends who we play.

So, if you put me on the spot and say we will play Virginia in the Military Bowl, I would have to say we would NOT attend.

Mama is on point regarding the distance, so I'll add that I would be in N. Carolina at the time of the bowl game which would make the drive much more manageable

Absolutely, distance is a huge factor.  But I think the newness would be a bump, compared to Bham for example
