Poor decision.  But I've seen him mouth off in other games.  He should realize it's wrong and doesn't benefit him at all.  Immaturity.  I'd make him run, and apologize.  No place for that if it is what I think it is.

I did note, that Q seemed to be really mad with the sidelines, or after a miss, he just seemed ti be showing a LOT of frustration. I think it focused on the play being signaled in mostly, or after a missed play, he seems to be even revved up more than usual.

Of note, he seemed to completely dial back the on field chatter, which i had actually become a fan of, watching him on TV.

As an opposing fan, I am glad he is graduating. If ( UCiF..oh the irony, as I hate that term) he had been allowed to play this year, like tonight, he would be playing again next weekend, IMO

Your last sentence says it all. He has a little girl he is raising. Hope it's not what we think it is.

Go Bulls

Yeah not good. Q has been mouthy all year. Not sure what the issue has been.

I think all of us have our own line where we would get offended (or at least see it as offensive to others) and feel something should be done to send a message that we need to maintain some amount of decency.

It crossed my line for sure.  I remember getting on a fellow USF fan for making that same gesture at FSU fans from our section in Tallahassee.  There were women and young children within 6 feet of this guy, and I was mortified at how this idiot was representing our university.

I haven't even told my wife about Quinton's gesture (she will most likely not find out since she doesn't read the sports sections or use Twitter).  I really don't want to ruin her perception of him whom she literally was crying for on senior night.

I'd love to say he was "rolling dice," or that he was doing it to people who were taunting him in a cruel way, but if I take off my green and gold glasses, I'm seeing it for what it was.

We already have shown a lack of discipline on the field with all of our penalties this season, and the UCF game was no exception.  I know CCS already came out and defended Flowers for his motive, but I can't see how he doesn't do something to hold Flowers accountable for the action and send a message to the rest of the team.

Does the NCAA ever step in if a school chooses not to address something like this?

What a prude.

Those "innocent" college kids have seen that action on pornhub 1000 times. If this is really something that would "ruin your perception" then you were probably looking for an excuse to not like the man.

If the comments I have read on Twitter are to be believed (that UCF students were mocking him and his deceased parents) then I can understand why he did what he did. It doesn't excuse it, but I definitely understand. To me it is the equivalent to flipping someone off and, as drivers of motor vehicles in the State of Florida, I am sure we have all gave or received one of those gestures in the past. One emotional decision doesn't sully his reputation. By all accounts, QF is a great guy and a model student-athlete.

I don't necessarily agree with Flowers and see how it could be a problem, but, the beauty of what he did is this... He can say he was rolling a dice and suddenly, YOU are the dirty one for thinking otherwise. Not saying it's right, but, parents have a story for their kids that ask about it, and, IF the rumors are true about what UCF fans were saying to him, he got to give it back to them in a very smart way that he could defend as innocent. Again, if YOU read more into the gesture, then, YOU are the one with the dirty mind (even if it is totally what he meant by it).
