Did you guys catch bakers and jk podcast earlier in the week? Jk says something like he believes Usf will extend their 30 point streak and baker literally rolls his eyes smh

34-28 was the final, and there was plenty of danger for us at the end of that game. If Tice doesn't get that first down, who knows what might have happened. UCF beat a better team by a slightly bigger margin. We play them in a few weeks anyway.

The playcall to Tice was brilliant, the defense was completely tricked. There are so many variations for run plays.

Exactly. Being up 34-7 at one point means nothing. We squeaked out a one score victory against a team that lost to FIU. Staying at 20 is reasonable, perhaps even generous.

Tulane also trounced a Tulsa team that lost to Houston and only lost to Navy in Annapolis by two. Tulane are no slouches this year.

Okay can we agree that if both we and UCF win this week, they won't jump us, as they play Austin Peay.

Tulane lost to Oklahoma 56-14. They lost to FIU.If we really want to puff our chest out and ask for the country to look at us as a top 15 team, we have to kill them. Especially with our schedule as soft as it is.

You mean beat Houston, something like 45-17

Why do I get the feeling that if we beat UCF close, Baker would still rank them ahead of us?

No chance that happens. Even if it did, they'd still be watching the CCG from home.

Perhaps he'd just drop both out of it?

They look better to the eyeball than we do.

The eyeball test is key in rankings.

That's why I like computer models. No passion, no emotion, no weight for being a historic program. Just give me a conglomerate average of computer rankings like we do for hurricane models.

The credit I will give to Tulane for fighting and keeping it close is they seem like a different team on the road and at home. They were 3-0 at home and 0-3 on the road. We still went and handed them their first home loss of the year.

Exactly. There is a guy named Fornelli and  he has his top 50.  He happens to like UCF at this moment, but it is interesting.

  1. My opinion has absolutely nothing to do with the rankings
  2. There is true equality to start as math doesn't play favorites
  3. Wins and losses mean more than anything
  4. The formula is in no way predictive, it's a meritocracy
  5. I won't share the formula, but it works
