Do t know how anyone can trust a group of people to pick the correct four. I have hated this set up from day one.

Best world = 8 conferences of 16 divisions of 9 teams each (4 home, 4 away, 4OOC) = up to 144 teams

Round robin so each division has a clear champ, then Round of 16 determines 8 conference champs, then have an 8-team playoff.

Again how did Bower get that gig? Compromising photos have to be in play.

While looking him up, saw this about USM building an academic center with Bower's name on it:

Southern Miss athletic director Bill McGillis said the project will cost $2 million, $1.15 million of which has already been raised or pledged. He added work on the project will begin as soon as the remainder of the funds are raised.

Had completely forgotten about him .... If MH ever does move on, he'd have to be on the short list.

I understand that Jeff Bower harbors no hard feelings towards USF. In fact, his wife is baking something in our honor for him to give out to the other experts when they discuss the strength of our SOS.

No problem with her. She is intelligent and invests the time in watching as many games as possible (at least that’s what I have read). However, I still can’t figure out how a retired Southern Miss coach got that gig.

She's said on numerous occasions that her dream job wouldn't be president of a university (which she could easily be after her stint as provost at Stanford), but NFL commissioner.
