Hard for me to disassociate preseason expectation's from successful seasons at this point. Some of my expectations the Grothe and Daniels years with Leavitt at the helm were very high. Even Holtz first year was pretty exciting.

I guess I am not in so much anticipation bc I still view us in rebuilding mode. There were years where I actually believed we could contend for the championship being in the BE. It's such a long shot atm that I just want to see us steadily improve.

Not for me. I'd put it like 3rd or 4th.... I'm just going in with less expectations and hype this year. I definitely feel more confident about the team this year than last year going in, but for some reason my expectations aren't any greater than last year. I think it has something to do with our weak schedule and conference and new coaching staff. There just isn't any game on the schedule that really excites me all that much. Temple and Houston are two I look forward too. And there is UCF. I think they'll be improved this year and will be a threat. I know they are still recovering from their donut season in 2015 but Frost could be their Taggart.

 Now if we're talking from a national perspective,  I believe 2017 has the most anticipation. Especially with a legitimate Heisman hopeful. 

This is the first time I've been able to discuss the Bulls with FSU and UF fans with earnest respect coming from them in regards to our program.

The media preseason hype train hasn't been as full throttle as it is currently. 2006-2009 I don't recall the amount of media presence honestly. Part of that isn't schedule, conference affiliation, star power, social media....

I'd go with '09 honestly. Grothe/Selvie as  seniors, addition of JPP,  FSU on the schedule...

Let's hope that this season doesn't start the train wreck that season ended up becoming.
