Don't like sideline seating so far away.

Like the open End Zones, should be cooler.

Like that they plan on club seating, can't tell if it's two levels.

E.T.   That's only a conceptual drawing.  The OCS would probably not look anything like that.  The curved sidelines go back to when the stadiums had tracks in them as well, and it doesn't coordinate with the architecture of our athletic village.

Prefer a 40K option.

Just curious, why?

"The 2012 season marked the last of six straight seasons in which USF averaged better than 40,000 fans, highlighted by a record average of 53,170 fans per game in 2007."

We have a state of the art basketball arena on campus and consistently have solid scheduling in and out of conference and our attendance is <5K.  Where are the "build it and they will come" fans?

Our WBB team has been ranked in the Top 20 and plays rock solid competition and the only real draw is UConn. every year.  I know, I know, it's women's hoops.  Again, where are the fans that attend in our OC arena?

Go Bulls!

Football is just a different event than basketball. To even compare the two is absurd. Outside of a handful of schools, attendance isn't great at college football

It's been long proven that the majority of those recent figures were inflated. Likewise, attendance 10 years ago is just a different beast it today's market.

40-50k with room to expand is perfect.

50k with room to expand I agree with. I think 40k is woefully short sighted.

I mean, outside of FSU, when was the last time we legitimately had 50k? Not even a good team last year drew well. If they decide on 40k to throw money behind other parts I'd have no issues.

Just funny that the past shouldn't be talked about, unless it fits in line with the point you agree with.  Talk about a packed off-campus stadium for the WVU game should be ramped down, but an opinion that we should have built a stadium 10 years in the past is completely relevant discussion.

Context!  Correct, talking about attendance numbers 10 years ago to either justify or not justify an OCS is meaningless.  Glad we could agree on that.  Now, talking about 2007 attendance in 2008 or so would have been meaningful.

Agreed that they two different events.  However, we have a state of the art, on campus hoops arena and can't get 10K to come see a game.  10K is 25% of 40K.

The build it and they will come mentality is a movie tag line, nothing more.  Show me we can put 40K in seats every game no matter the opponent and I'll be the first to write a check for an OCS.  Until then, I can't see it.

Go Bulls!

It's not like USF is allowed to use Raymond James for no cost.  If this is the outlook, then should be looking to rent Al Lang or somewhere smaller and less costly.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
