I also hate how the talking heads are blaming this "excessive" workout on Taggart. The NCAA rules basically state that head coaches are not allowed to participate in the winter work outs.

It isn't his fault, but it is. Head coaches don't play the game, but they get hired and fired as a result of the players. Same goes for staff. He wasn't there, but he absolutely OK'd the workout and kids are in the hospital. Doesn't matter in the slightest if it was because they didn't prepare, weren't properly hydrated, etc.

When you're the boss you're responsible for the behavior and missteps of those you oversee.  With great power comes great responsibility.

Probably the most comprehensive article I've read about the incident. It seems the players have the coaches backs

Along those lines, there are quite a few people working in fields out there today that had no major associated with it when they started in the field and, therefore, don't have a degree to match their work.

Exactly how many McDonalds employees do you think dreamed they were going to achieve that kind of success when they graduated from UCF?

Good read Dozer. If Coach O and the trainers did their job why is Coach O suspended?

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
