Dykes left him with a stacked team! He can't run an offense! He golfs too much! His dad spits a lot! He doesn't use time outs!

Along with only getting players who were choosing between us and Ivy League, these things  were mandated by Judy and Doug when he got the job.

Good to see him rebound. He did well at ECU before the USF job.  Was not at the time a bad hire for Woodard. He lost his mojo at USF because he hired a terrible DC named Chris Cosh.  That was the downfall for him at USF

The mojo was already bad before Cosh came along.  Cosh came after 5-7.

Snyder wasn't much better. He's left a trail of tears as D.C.

Snyder was far better than Cosh.  The worst DC in the history of football was a better DC than Cosh.

I'll even go so far as to say Woodie is a better DC than Cosh.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."

    Jim Leavitt
