Wasn't aware that Idaho decided to go to the FCS, an almost unprecedented move according to the author. Pretty sure we'll be seeing more of this eventually.....

Yup, pretty cool that they are winning their final game in the FBS tonight as well. Living in Big Sky Conference country I'm curious to see how they do against the EWUs and Montanas as they've been a special kind of bad for a long time.

Also interesting how Louisville became a big-time program after they considered dropping football all together. Hopefully we can.make similar moves and get there as well.

Not too much, this was the perfect storm. The biggest problem they have is location. If the MWC has no interest then there is no place else to turn. Unrelated,  UAB will be back in business next year.

Huh, so it is... No idea why I thought the switch was after this season, I've been under that impression all year. Aside from the occasional EWU game I guess it shows how much I pay attention to sports out here.

Sometimes it's OK to be a big fish in a small pond. Watch the D2 playoffs. It's fun. It gives fans a reason to go to the games. There is such an obsession on this board with "getting into the P5". 

I say, for what?? There is such hypocrisy and backwards thinking amongst so many on TheBullsPen. We may NEVER, EVER compete with the big boys on a regular basis. It's OK. There is such an inherent inferiority complex.

What is the obsession with the P5? What is the rush to get our heads kicked in on bigger stages.

Build an OCS, generate a real following. Build REAL momentum and maybe, just maybe we can EARN a seat at the big boy table.

Anyone that thinks the P5 is clamoring for USF in its current state, playing at the RAY JAY to a half packed house is delusional.

the lower tier  fbs needs to break away and form their own league with playoffs.
