So, Texas can't do a whole lot about it I don't think, it's in line with what we are able to pay since they didn't support us getting into the B12... I wish there was some sort of clause in there that if we get to the B12, his salary would double...wonder if that would get them on our side. Hopefully he doesn't mess with the O too much.

An additional $100,000 will be available next July 1. The assistant’s salary pool graduates to $2.6 million on Jan. 1, 2017, and increases by $100,000 at the start of each year. http://www.tbo.com/sports/colleges/usf-bulls/usf-signs-taggart-to-contract-extension-through-2020-season-20151221/

This has to be true. Taggart had $2.4M for assitants. Brad beat me to it. Edited December 13, 2016 by Orlando Bull

I am sure he is.

Maybe the Texas booster came along to deliver the message that one million/yr until severance pay ends was their floor to avoid litigation.

They're entitled to half of his new salary, right? Looks like a good deal for us. Gives us some time to put away some cash for a huge extension if he does well by year 3. No, his total Comp would be 5.5 mill. (5 from texas) + (1 from USF) -(500k back to Texas.)
