He is a co-offensive coordinator. If we want to keep our offense then it makes sense.

Meh...though no one I know can verify this, we do know that changes started to happen on Kinnan showed up. To be perfectly honest, the 'gulf coast' offense relies on speed and talent more so than X and O's. I don't think it will be that hard to duplicate and in fact several teams in CFB run a version of this spread run-first offense with more wrinkles against better competition.

We are also assuming much if we don't think CWT will try to take the coaches whom he deems critical to his success. Kinnan is older though, loves the game, and I doubt he follows CWT to Oregon. He had a hard enough time convincing his wife to let him commute from Brandenton ;-)

BTW I am not trying to take anything away from CWT, I was one of the level head folks around here when people where calling for his head.

Sources: Charlie Strong remains a candidate for the Cincinnati job, if Strong were to be offered the #USFBulls job he would take it over UC

Strong and his family would be a natural fit.

We dont want the cancer Kiffin or the viking Schiano.   They will kill our program.  This whole search firm feels ridiculous to me but oh well I am not running the show.

Preference:

1. Charlie Strong

2, Lawrence Dawsey ( O coordinator at FSU)

3. Larry Scott ( No coordinator experience)

4. Frank Wilson (UTSA) ( Rbs coach at LSU 2010-2015)

5. Lincoln Riley ( only down this far because I believe he goes to Houston)

If Schiano is our next coach, I may completely stop supporting USF football. Harlan needs to know that hiring Schiano is 100% unacceptable.

I think there are a lot of people that feel this way about Schiano. Not just from the Bucs experience, but how he was at Rutgers.

The question is does Harlan, who was not here in those days, take this into consideration when he needs to fill up some seats?

Schiano can coach college football.  No question, but if a coach is hated by the small fan base is it a good hire?

Search firm? "Most likely yes," Harlan said. "We're going to use all the tools at our disposal to make a great hire." #USF

Search firm may be just to get around FoIA noise and not leak away all their leverage... I hope.

That's to avoid having to comply with Florida's sunshine laws. All contact directly with the university has to be disclosed if requested. Not necessarily so with private firms who handle all the direct communications.
