What's the prize for being ranked in a poll?

If you don't win your conference, you've  failed to meet your primary goal.

So 110+ teams fail every year.

Currently, with 81 computers reporting, in the Massey composite USF is #28. There are still over 20 systems that have not yet been included.

Ranking is the bonus, beating UCiF is the mission. That, and praying ECU finds some semblance of an A-game Saturday night. If we win Saturday, get your pirate swag ready. :GoBulls:

Rankings this year have not been very predictive. Just to name a few, at one point this season

Norte Dame #10, Texas #11, Houston #6, Texas A&M #4, Clemson #2... and all suffered huge upsets... along with lots of others this season.

Some computers ran on the ELO system rating (which takes into account strength of schedule, not conference name)...

USF would be ranked under that circumstance;

However, we just need to win out

Jesus, Dr. Darkness, we're looking at the bright side!

He's right though. This season will be a building block, no doubt. If we don't play for the AAC championship this year, I sure hope we are next season. We've got no idea when the next window to jump ship will come, and we've got win this conference as many times as possible prior to the jump.
