Jose was hired as an assistant coach by Jerry Ann Winters...Griffin's worst hire.

It was the Winters case that brought down Paul Griffin who was a very good AD.

It was before my time down here in FL.  Was just looking at the tenure of the ADs and coaches.

Yeah, that Winters fiasco was not pretty. I wonder what could have been if Griffin stuck around a little longer.

Also irrelevant. This year will COA's best because he now has his players on the roster and his entire first recruiting class will be juniors.

At least you recognize the irrelevancy of your previous post .... kudos.

I was referencing all of the other irrelevant posts that try to dismiss the notion that our success this year is GUARENTEED because CWT was able to turn things around in his third year.

While I originally was of the belief that roster turnover and prior poor results were the best indicators of future performance, I now believe in what the smartest of the Bullspen posters believe and that is that we just give COA his third year then MBB will be NIT bound or better.

Stop being silly and putting words in the mouths of those of us who said a coach should get at least 3 years to see what he can do .... especially one with the turnover COA had his first year.

Will we be having this same conversation in November 2017?

Nobody said that he will have a GUARENTEED successful year. I'm probably his biggest supporter on this board and I THINK he will have a good team this year and will earn a 4th year. Your changing the words of others to "prove" you were right and everyone else is wrong. Just let the year play out and we will see, don't assume anything before the season has even started, that's just being immature.

I'll use my sarcasm font next time. Never in the nearly 30 years I've been following MBB did I ever go into a season with this much pessimism.

While COA has done nothing to deserve a third year, Harlan has to at least give the appearance to the next coach that he will give his coaches a runway.

Its for that reason only why we have to wait another year before we can move on to the next (and hopefully) better chapter in USF basketball.

Lets get this season over with so Harlan can finally blow this clown out.

Hopefully Harlan can make a better hire in the offseason. This was his first major hire and it was a huge fail.
