Don't think there is anyone else on the roster who can run the defense so it.makes sense not to can him from those duties now. However at the end of the year he darn well better not be our DC anymore.

I would be happy with a defense that is designed to stop the run, especially from a dual threat quarterback.  At least for this week.

Finally, I don't think it is a defense call issue alone. There is an issue with defensive alignment and that speaks to poor teaching. And the safeties, Jancek's unit, has been among the prime offenders.

The run d is atrocious and wil continue to be. I hate bagging on the Bulls, but this game is going to be painful. Shake ups aren't always a panacea, but they do normally get people on their toes. This unit has not been tackling well, not creating turnovers, and has cost us games already. They need a wake up call. They aren't answering the call on the field.
