Sorry, I'm not following your comment?  My point was to use this as a battle cry and nothing to do with Shelton's piece.

Shelton may not be to blame as headlines are often written by different writers than the stories are.

Someone at the Times needed to catch this before the published it.

I could be wrong but I don't think Shelton is with the Times any more. So no one at the Times is checking his work.
