I think the bend but don't don't break defensive philosophy comes from CWT. He said something to that effect in his presser yesterday.  Something along the lines of we're a bend but don't break defense but we do a good job of keeping the opponents out of the endzone.  Giving up yards and some points is ok with him because he believes his offense will out score the opponent.  I wish the defense had the same aggressive attacking style as the offense.  

Oh well.  I guess it's asking too much to be great on both sides of the ball.

The D that we've seen so far will make it difficult for us to get the CCG.

We'll give up 500 rushing yards to Navy and they'll be us by 20 if something doesn't change.  What was ECU averaging in rushing yards coming in? and what did we give up to them?  Huge discrepancy.

 I don't know why they continue to run the same defense for everybody. against strong running teams five defensive backs makes no sense it's been proven over and over, hopefully they will adjust for Navy. To be a championship team they need to be able to put in game plans to give their teams the best chance to win!

 Otherwise thought that was a great win yesterday.  IMO they played their worst game (mistake wise) of the year and still won.

If you're a Bulls fan, refer to the team as "US" not "THEY"

It should be noted that the title of this thread was a quote from the color commentator of the Syracuse game. USF Defense was just sitting so far off receivers and giving up huge running holes. So little improvement thus far... a few spots of inspiration but generally pretty bad.
