How much have we collectively wasted reading about AW?

Now THERE's a calculation I'd like to see!

None of it has been wasted!

Would it be the most on a player who never played an actual down for us?

I don't think there's any question, the answer is yes.

At the time of Asantii's recruitment he represented hope for USF. We were atrocious during that time. He was the winner of the Elite 11,12,13? He was committed to us, not committed to us, signed with UCLA then signed with us. That was grueling! I think thats the reason for all the obsession with Asantii. Like it or not he is part of our story..

I feel bad for him.  He had amazing potential and the decision left him in a poor spot.

Reminds me of a good friend of mine in high school. He was a very good, but not great, baseball player and had it in his head he needed to go to a big name school. Ended up leaving Florida for a Big 10 school and got about $1000 a year to play for them so he had to foot the bill for the other $14000. Sure, he got to come home on breaks and wear his hat that people recognized, but he finished up his career about $50000 in debt and had about 25 hits to show for it. He easily could have played for four years as a starter at a smaller school AND had his entire degree paid for, but his ego wouldn't let him.

I think it was more like

Committed to us

De-committed from us

Committed to us

Was partially committed to us

De-committed from us

Committed to us

De-committed from us

Signed with UCLA

Committed to us

Signed with us

Mysteriously dparted us
