Yep. And we finished that 3-9 season with our emergency QB. HUGE chance for a kid that actually wants to play to come in and start, regardless of who is the coach.

I get it... he did what he felt he had to do. But that was one more kick in the balls on the way to a McNeese State thrashing that still stings to this day. No sympathy.

Clearly he didn't have the same vision for starting something at USF, like our Quinton Flowers did.

In the end, it all worked out for the Bulls, but certainly no thanks to AW.  Hate that his college career may be ending this way, but there are certainly consequences for every decision we make.

So AW is more akin to John the Baptist?

With all the commits and decommits then transfers in and now out, I'd say he's more of a Judas...

Still doesn't explain why someone would see this news now and think we just lost QF's eventual successor.

That does defy explanation ...... I mean, it was still a possibility but the fact he was behind Kean even when healthy didn't bear that out.

So what you're saying is his dad picked that user name while he was in high school foreshadowing his career at USF. Intriguing.

maybe he saw kean's scowl?

No, no, no, it was clearly Mike White's Scowl. The Scowl is a gamer, it never transferred to WKU.

never made sense for him to come to usf

You're like the drunk dude, slouched in the corner of the pub, who wakes up & pipes up with something out of left field once the sane people stop talking.

And I mean that in the nicest way...you're family!

The initial excitement I get, but his rating was based entirely on potential rather than proven track record (he had half a season playing QB and being mediocre at it in HS), and once he washed out at UCLA because he couldn't learn the position, I never understood why people thought he would come here and still be our savior.

I think it was hope, and that we felt like we NEEDED a savior...before QF showed he could lead us to winning ways.
