We have committed to growing with him, and we have already experienced a lot of growing pains. We should enjoy his successes with him too. Les Miles is from another era, and a retread at this point isn't consistent with our young, up-and-coming status as a football program and as a university. I'm fine with Tags' recruiting this far, I don't think Miles could come in and do better.

Wasn't Miles an OL coach for a decade and a coordinator after that at multiple schools, not to mention an NFL stint? I think he's got some degree of X's and O's knowledge. Good comparison though. Les Miles with 16 years as an offensive line coach and coordinator, 3 as an NFL position coach, 16 years as a college head coach, 1 national coach of the year award, 1 national championship and...Chuck. A good recruiter is a good coach, but a great recruiter is generally great coach.

But I'll play along. I'd only take him if Cam Cameron doesn't get to come along. That guy is AIDS when it comes to developing QB's I agree. They fired the wrong guy. He wants smash mouth, running backs and tight-ends. Taggart tried the same thing here and realized it wouldn't work with our line and skill players. Taggart learned quickly. Miles is stubborn. And Miles wouldn't be bringing the same level of recruiting here. Edited September 26, 2016 by ToroDeFuego
