According to the recently released polls, even that is going to be a stretch. We received 7 entire votes. #25 OU has 139.

Well I might join the whining next week...

(Sorry if this was already posted)

AP has Central Michigan with more than twice as many votes than us...

Let's just beat FSU.

The votes don't trickle in with a win over a ranked team. We already have 3 wins under our belt (including a 25 point win against a P5 school in Syracuse who scored more on L'ville than FSU did). If we were to beat a ranked FSU team, it doesn't mean we'll have 10 or 12 votes, we will have more like 110+...we are the featured game at noon on ABC nationally next Saturday, all eyes will be watching. A win over FSU gets MANY MORE voters on the USF bandwagon. If we continue to win after that, then they start paying attention to our winning margins and the fact that we are one of the dwindling number of undefeated teams remaining and the votes will continue to tack on. Just win. Everything else will be taken care of...

Not saying it's impossible though. An undefeated FSU would obviously have a massive influence on our potential ranking...but that's not the case anymore.

FSU's bed ******** couldn't have come at a worse time for us.

Florida is horrible, but Tennessee is been the most unimpressive team imaginable to somehow stay rains. I wish we played those two teams because we'd win by at least 2 scores

They barely survived an Appy State team that Miami crushed (in Boone), 45-10.  Over rated Tenn v UF...someone has to lose.

I get that. You have to admit that FSU's loss has an impact on the number of votes to be received.

We keep winning, at some point people will catch on. 3 wins, hanging 25 on P5 'Cuse...and still only 7 votes? There's no love (yet).

Looks like the coaches respect us a lot more than AP voters.  I wonder why.

We'll get in for sure in coaches poll with a win next week.

Of the two, AP is much more likely to have actually watched us play. There are 3 coaches in the country right now who have seen a USF game. Add Jimbo Fisher to the list tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure if we beat FSU we get ranked. Not high, we're basically banging the polling walls, but we'll get ranked. The tough part is having to go to a better looking than expected Cincy team right afterwards. We beat FSU, that high is going to be unreal. None of the players here have ever beaten a team as good as FSU.

We have no argument except for 3-0, big margins: we beat 1-2 FCS team, 0-3 NIU and 1-2 Cuse.

We haven't beat anyone yet and don't have the brand of a powerhouse.
