Put some feelers out to Bama and as a last resort Ohio St.

I hear UM is a package deal with OSU - could be a good opportunity for Harbough to come to Florida without having to run his satellite camps.

It depends who leaves. If both FL schools depart I could imagine FAU and/or FIU replacements. Marshall, Ohio, NIU, and WKU would be some of the best overall adds outside of the service academies, which has eyeballs.

Let's assume we lose Cincinnati and Houston, I'd push for one of three scenarios:

1. Add four MWC teams to get to 14 (Boise State, San Diego State, Air Force and Colorado State)

2. Add two eastern schools (UMass and Marshall)

I like your western ideas but the comish will need to show how a new AAC tv contract would be better than what they get in the MWC (ESPN can look and update next year but they are not required to do so). In terms of the east teams Marshall would kill the academic integrity of the conference (Boise would too but they win big games). UMass is a project as they have terrible facilities (I live 1 HR away). I would rather go after Army as the conf would get more $ for Army vs Navy.

I would agree with Army but as a football-only member and would have to convince both Army and Navy to move up their game to before the conference title game.

Good point...this is still a sticking point with Navy now.

I like the service academies.  Would love to have Army.  Would also love to have Air Force (creating a truly "American" conference) but I'm not sure it or other MWC teams like Boise, CSU, etc. would want to join the AAC unless it makes sense financially.  And I'm not sure it would.

La Tech?

Why would Boise come ? They already tried that and are making more than the other Mwc teams so they would stay
