Most of us in Houston think it will be our two schools contending for the AAC title over the next few years. With USF starting to pull in 4 star talent and UH with 2 5 stars on the roster (Allen/Oliver) I think this is a good time for both programs to crush some out of conference foes on the national scene. Good luck against FSU this year...they love falling to AAC powerhouses! AAC>ACC Problem is they pulled in a banner class. They will have at least 5-10 of those guys contribute on day 1. We're very good, but it really comes down to one thing-are we 3-0 and playing extremely well coming into week 4 vs. FSU? If the team is playing up to it's full potential, and this is the first year we have a lot of guys who have been in the system for 2-3 years now, then we can knock them off. We also know Sean Maguire will not be throwing on one leg unless it's like 2009 where we turn him into a pretzel a la Christian Ponder. You guys go knock off Oklahoma, we go knock off FSU, and the American will be in business. We still need the other schools in this conference to at least hold their own and beat P5 teams (a la Navy beats Notre Dame). But if we're 12-0, both of us, going into conference championship weekend, I think the winner has a legitimate chance to go to the play-off. More-so you than us.

I've been watching in amazement of the job Tom Herman and the Houston Athletic Department has done this past year. They really have taken over H-Town. Even though were in the same conference and will likely compete, serious respect to the cougars.

A good start is just holding our collective own against G5 and D2, and for UCiF just getting a friggin' win.

Either school goes 12-0 the winner **** well better be in the playoff. Both teams undefeated going in would mean a collection of wins over OU/Louisville/FSU (x2 if you count Peach Bowl). Tough to go undefeated but to have 2 in a conference would be pretty extraordinary.

The national outrage would be too much to bare.

Just as plausible that the champion of the B12, SEC, ACC, PAC, and B1G all go undefeated and the AAC is not considered. A whole lot of weird crap has to happen before any G5 team is considered.

I believe there is only one G5 qualifier and the rest of the at-large bids go to the other conferences.
