Higher than I thought, not sure if its a reflection of the watered down product or if it is actually as intriguing as this ranking

22. Miami Beach Bowl (Dec. 21, Miami) – South Florida (8-4) vs. Western Kentucky (11-2)

It’s going to be hard to top the inaugural Miami Beach Bowl (the brawl, too) but this is a pretty intriguing matchup. USF coach Willie Taggart went from a guy who was fighting for his job to a guy who led his team to wins in seven of its final eight games. The Bulls, led by RB Marlon Mack and speedy QB Quinton Flowers, will have to be at the top of their game to keep up with the high-powered Western Kentucky offense. Senior QB Brandon Doughty leads the Hilltoppers attack. Oh, and to the add to the intrigue, Taggart left WKU to take the USF job.

You essentially have two of the hottest teams in the nation, explosive play makers, the former coach versus his old team....I would say that as far as the "also-ran" bowls go we should be right toward the top of the non-P5 list.

depends on the fashion in which we win. If we make them look like Temple, or Cincy. Yes we should be ranked.

And therein lies the problems. There are too many teams in that range that would provide a consistent benefit to us...too many combinations. We could move up five to seven spots however.
