Would have much rather faced a team like Auburn in the Birmingham Bowl than a CUSA opponent. WKU is a tougher opponent but less of a signature win for the program IMO.

I hope you're right. If we are going to get a p5 opponent it would come from the pac12. But I'm still not sure how the tie-ins work, and who gets dibs. 

This would get me to the game.

Wow. I love the photo. But then I clicked on the link and cringed. WTF does UCONN get the California matchup when they barely made a bowl game and we get the short end of the stick? Hope we get to see California or arizona or Arizona state.

Has there ever been an afternoon bowl game on a weekday 4 days before Christmas?  With so many people still working, I can't believe there would be more than 5,000 fans for each team.  And not many locals who are off work at $60 a pop.  And no TV audience.  Not sure what Disney was thinking on this one.

Maybe I'm off base here.  Last year it was 3 days before Christmas at 2pm and they got 20,000.  Not too shabby.  Seating chart looks really weird with all the lowest level seats covered by Tarps.  Seems if you're in the first row sideline, it's still a distance from the field.  We should check with our friends from Memphis to ask about the seating situation.

I've seen that as well. It seems crazy. Why the hell would they get the good game with a worse record?

The teams that are not underlined are just CFN's projections.  They've been off base as much as anyone in the past.  Fingers crossed we get a PAC 12 team.
