Love what he's doing with our players, he's made a family out of them.

Tom Allen is as good as gone.  These guys are all about going to the next place and making their money when given the opportunity.  Can't blame him either.

Leaving after one season is the exception rather than the norm, though.

Also our defense is drastically improved but still not bulletproof, not at the level of USF teams of old. I think he sticks for another year but what do I know.

We will extend Taggart this offseason and give him a big raise too, probably (to match Houston/Memphis). His assistant pool would go up accordingly as well, I'd wager. When that happens, Allen deserves more of it than his peers. I really don't care if we lose a guy like Pimpleton because he's gypped.

I don't think he leaves over a little change.

Up the pay based on what we did for every staff member and keep this chemistry together for the long run.

A buddy of mine in the Ole Miss fan base seems to think they are going to make a run at him as their defensive coordinator this year.

If that's true, why would they have let him leave? Why not toss some money at his last year to stick around?

I don't think he's leaving Tampa anytime soon as they have a great thing going here.

FWIW he is a Hugh Freeze guy through and through - has gone from school to school with him. Maybe he asked Freeze what he thought and was told getting the DC experience to move to the next stage of his career was the right move? It's not like he left on bad terms.

We should do we can to keep him and whoever is calling the plays. Our offense is never looked so good.
