We already kicked Skip's ass in a bowl game, not sure many of you newbies recall that one.  And that was my reasoning on why not to hire him in the first place.

I concur.  That game was going to be an epic blowout before Grothe was injured and USF went into prevent offense.

Now, to be fair, Holtz was better off in a place like ECU which has a fanbase which is completely behind him. He seemed to thrive there.  We tend to be more cynical.
