it was a no brainer. Coach probably had a little index card with that scenario written on it.

I think CWT would kick the field goal, The triple option is unique, they were built for that play.

Also, I think they wanted to get the rushing TD record tie for Reynolds.  They got a great chance for it with the home crowd looking on at the end.

I wouldn't exactly call that decision to go for the TD "ballsy" in that situation. I'd have been more surprised if they kicked the FG.
